Our client in San Antonio TX is looking for a Patch Analyst

Job Title: Patch Analyst

Location: Onsite

Address: San Antonio TX 78215

Rate : $25/hr - $30/hr on W2

Job Description

This position is responsible for the distribution of patches to company owned assets, to include server and operations systems and all third-party software. Responsible for reporting the status of distribution and compliance levels to management. Perform activities required to support our client..

Every second week contact SMEs for Compliance, and OSI systems to find out if Security Patches have been released.

Condense, as necessary, the list of patches to be reviewed at each meeting to save evaluation time.

Coordinate with the support staff and application owners, to evaluate patches.

Track and record the dates that security patches were received, assessed, and implemented or mitigated.

Ensure that patching processes are documented accurately, and actions taken are compliant.

Utilize automated software tools to evaluate applicable patches and report status.

Work with SMEs to apply patches to applicable devices consistent with procedures.

Ensure patch activities are tracked and approved within the configuration management process.

Ensure operational constraints are respected when conducting patch activities.

Escalate to IT Management when patches are in danger of missing the deadline or mitigations have been extended.

Plans, performs, and implements process improvement initiatives to include process modeling and flowcharts.

Assists with the collection of information related to system outages to identify root cause of problems.

Assist with special reports and projects.

Tomcat Web Server - Use It, Great To Find Someone With Exp

Code In Jave- Some Server Admin With Programming Experience

Must have Linux Experience

Cybersecurity Patching

2 years Excel data manipulation and reporting, proficient with Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Excellent Organizational Skills.

Preferred Requirements:

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, or other related fields from an accredited university

Experience in support of a technical, environment.

Familiarity generating automated metrics to measure service.

Understanding of software development lifecycle

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manger to diverse audiences.
