Position Purpose:

The Risk Analyst is responsible for assisting in the risk mitigation, analysis, and administration of the Company’s equipment lease portfolio. The Risk Analyst will review and analyze customer risk characteristics including financial performance, credit risk profile, and especially insurance risk management (including insurance provider, coverage levels, endorsements, and other such characteristics). The role will generate reports and manage data on insurance, portfolio concentrations, past due accounts, lease contracts, and payment histories. The Risk Analyst will complete other assignments as may be assigned from time to time by the Director – Credit & Collections and will work with other TEL departments to assist with intradepartmental projects, communication, and workflow.

Position Responsibilities:

Continuously learn, share and implement improvements in all processes and responsibilities as needed to enhance effectiveness of providing world class service and support. Maintain accurate insurance information on customer leased equipment: pull and update insurance expiration reports, work with sales teams and communicate directly with customers and insurance agencies to collect insurance certificates and verify compliance with TEL requirements. Assist in the credit risk underwriting of new prospective and existing lease customers under the direction of senior credit team-members. Maintain past due reporting, work with sales team members and when warranted communicate directly with customers on past due payments. Assist customers and the TEL Accounting Department in the collection and application of payments and maintain updated past due reports. Pull due diligence reports from third party vendors to assist in the origination and ongoing administration of the lease portfolio: personal credit bureaus, D&B reports, PayNet reports, skip tracing reports, etc. Provide additional administrative and analytical support as may from time to time be required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bachelor’s Degree, or comparable combination of education and experience required. Entry level to three years job experience required. Knowledge of accounting principles and ability to quickly learn core management information systems (ex: KARMAK) MS Excel experience required working with data sets, pivot tables, VLOOKUP tools, and other functions. Detail oriented and organized individual who streamlines process and workflow. Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers as well as co-workers in multiple departments.
