**Customer Specialist/Delivery**

Summary The purpose of this position is to assist customers in a professional and courteous manner on deliveries and in the service center, and to maintain the showroom appearance by performing the following duties. The primary duties include driving truck to delivery products and render services, un-boxing and re-boxing furniture, along with organizing and cleaning of the preparation area for a safe working environment. Assembling and inspecting furniture for defects, flaws, and vendor discrepancies in order to conform to the quality specifications by performing the following duties. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * This individual must be 21 years of age, have a clean driving record, a valid drivers license, and must be able to pass a DOT Physical.

* Must demonstrate computer literacy including ability to use inventory management system, internet, email, MS Office Products, and digital camera.

* Maintain a well groomed personal appearance, including no visible tattoos, no more than one stud piercing per ear, and natural color hair.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Maintain Professional Image

* Unload Semi Truck from corporate warehouse

* Paperwork - process invoices, ship product in computer with speed and accuracy

* Prepare product for transport in customer's vehicle by properly tying down, applying wrap and protective materials to product

* Stage/Assemble product

* Load night before delivery truck for next days deliveries

* Deliver and install product in customers home

* Clean out debris from in back of delivery truck from that days deliveries

* Help respond to phone calls and requests from showrooms

* Service and work orders on previously delivered or picked up merchandise

* Clear snow from sidewalks for all fire exits, and keep parking lot appearance clean

* Any other duties warehouse manager needs done around warehouse on "down time"

* Sweep warehouse, wash trucks, do fabric protection and inventory scans

* Adheres to safe lifting techniques, follows proper training for learned job hazards and ergonomic risk factors, participates in departmental stretching program, and overall maintains a safe working environment

Education and/or Experience Must have or be currently working towards a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and or training. Language Skills Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Possess skills to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Mathematical aptitude to compute rate, ratio, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for sustained periods of time, move about on foot to accomplish tasks, use spoken word to communicate, and perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.

The employee is occasionally required to sit or remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time; use hands to handle or feel objects with either the entire hand or fingers, including typing. Reach with hands and arms in any direction, ascend and descend ladders and stairs using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Stooping by bending downward and forward by bending at the waist, kneeling or bending at the knees to come to a rest on knee or knees, crouching by bending the body downward and forward, or crawling by moving about on hands or hands and feet. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data or figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, and using measurement devices.

Reasoning Ability To apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
