Outpatient Referral Services Associate

DMC Primary Care seeks a full time Outpatient Insurance Referral Services Coordinator for our Derry, New Hampshire office. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a collaborative mindset who wants to be an important member of the DMC team. This position will be part of the Prior Authorization Department and will report to the Prior Authorization Manager. The successful candidate will serve as the principal contact/primary resource at DMC Primary Care regarding the outpatient insurance referral process. Duties include checking patient eligibility and submitting referrals to health plans for specialist office appointments. You will be responsible for communicating with our primary care providers and their clinical teams, our medical records department and third-party insurance carriers. Essential SkillsAbility to navigate third party payer websites Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to coordinate transmission of medical information to outside parties Familiarity with medical terminology Self-starter with ability to multitask, establish and rearrange priorities in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating team-oriented mindset Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Ability to communicate effectively via email and telephone Qualifications and ExperiencePrior experience in a medical office is requiredEHR experience is required (Allscripts experience is a plus)Minimum of high school education or equivalent; Associate Degree preferredPosition offers paid time off, comprehensive medical benefits, and 401K.DMC Primary Care, a physician-owned, independent practice, has been providing quality care for entire families since 1964.
