JOB TITLE: Senior Engineering Manager

LOCATION: Pleasanton, CA

DURATION: 4-6 week contract to perm

RATE RANGE: 80-90/hr

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Manager to join our leadership team. As the Senior Engineering Manager, you will have a strategic role in driving the growth and success of our engineering department. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of innovative software solutions, while ensuring the highest levels of quality and performance.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business goals and objectives. You will provide leadership and mentorship to a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will drive technical strategies and initiatives, while ensuring the implementation of best practices and industry standards.

 

Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the engineering department, driving the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize engineering projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.

- Mentor and develop a team of engineers, fostering their growth and professional development.

- Drive technical strategies and initiatives, staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

- Implement and enforce best practices, standards, and quality assurance processes across the engineering department.

- Continuously evaluate and optimize engineering processes and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute the company's technological roadmap.

- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, applying relevant technologies and methodologies to enhance engineering practices.

 

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience in a leadership role, with a track record of successfully leading and managing engineering teams.

- Strong technical background and in-depth knowledge of software development principles, methodologies, and technologies.

- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

- Strong project management abilities, with a demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving technical strategies and initiatives.

- Solid understanding of industry best practices and emerging trends in software engineering.

- Experience with Agile development methodologies and practices.

- Familiarity with cloud technologies and modern software engineering practices.

- Knowledge of quality assurance processes and methodologies.
