Duties & Responsibilities:
Operational:

  • Organized Prep: Ensure all food products are arranged according to company standards and utensils are present.
  • Service Preparation: Prep for service; set station to include all provisions; wash and prepare all produce items and all salad bar toppings, stock salad bar.
  • Grab & Go Items: Prepare and display "Grab & Go" items with appropriate labels.
  • End-of-Service Breakdown: When service is over, breakdown station according to company standards.
  • Menu Review: Review menu and daily specials with your Manager before service begins.
  • Catering Assistance: Assist in the production of daily menus and special function catering.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare food using proper techniques while maintaining food quality standards.
  • Production Deadlines: Meet production deadlines.
  • Recipe Adherence: Read and understand recipes.
  • Food Cost Awareness: Understand the concept of food cost.
  • Inventory Management: Ability to take inventory.
  • Line Service Assistance: Assist in line service as needed.
  • Management Coordination: Perform all other duties assigned by management and always check with the manager before leaving for the day.
Sanitation/Safety:
  • Cleanliness & Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food preparation areas/equipment as well as proper handling and storage of all food.
  • Food Safety: Ensure all food products are properly cooked/held at required temperatures and all state health laws are upheld.
  • Temperature Monitoring: Always have a thermometer and properly maintain documentation on temperature logs.
  • Hygiene Standards: Always wear gloves and clean as you go. Always have a sanitizing bucket at your station.
Human Resources:
  • Uniform Policy: Adhere to WMH's uniform policy - be prepared to work when your shift begins.
  • Policy Adherence: Adhere to all WMH's Policies and Procedures.
  • Training Participation: Participate in the monthly training and development workshops.
Professional Skills/Requirements:
  • Customer Satisfaction: Maintain customer satisfaction to ensure we exceed customer expectations every day.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Understand culinary terminology and techniques.
  • Certification: ServSafe and applicable Foodhandlers Certification.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ability to properly maintain and operate food service equipment.
  • Safety Gear: Must wear proper safety gear including certified slip-resistant footwear.
  • Basic Skills: English reading, writing, and math skills required.
