$90- $125k, negotiable based on experience Job Summary Reporting to the President of the company, the Chief Engineer will be part of a group of skilled engineers and technicians supporting all aspects of the Company's contract manufacturing business. The Chief Engineer is the central point of contact for this group, with responsibility for technical investigations and production efficacy through the hardware and software design of production test equipment and through the system analysis / design for development of automated assembly equipment. The Chief Engineer acts as liaison between internal departments, as well as, to customers and suppliers, from initial inquiries, through manufacturability guidance, test methodology development, production automation, to field issue resolution. The ideal candidate will have a solid Electrical Engineering background with broad experience in general electronics and PCB manufacturing, development of test and factory automation systems, team building and project leadership, as well as the ability to perform clear and concise technical investigations, and to clearly present the findings of these investigations to the customer. Responsibilities: *

Serve as the primary technical point of contact within the company, addressing internal inquiries from various departments including Sales, Customer Service, Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Executive Teams. *

Act as the main technical liaison for customer inquiries, leading internal or on-site investigations to diagnose issues and guarantee customer satisfaction. *

Conduct thorough failure mode analyses and root cause investigations and compile comprehensive reports documenting the findings. *

Offer guidance to customer Engineering teams to enhance the manufacturability and testability of their designs as needed. *

Deliver clear presentations of technical investigation results to customer Engineering, Quality, and Management teams. *

Provide leadership, mentorship, and practical coaching to our team of engineers and technicians. *

Coordinate and oversee development projects, from initial needs assessment and ROI estimation, through project planning, progress monitoring, verification & validation testing, to production integration and performance monitoring. *

Supervise design for manufacturability reviews with both internal and external stakeholders. *

Contribute to the company's continuous improvement initiatives. *

Ensure all test equipment and customized automation systems are fully operational and aligned with production requirements. *

Collaborate closely with Production leadership to coordinate support activities and ensure timely job completion. Minimum Required Qualifications: *

A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering is required. *

Candidates must possess 8-10 years of experience in analog/digital design, including embedded systems and firmware development, utilizing appropriate development environments. *

Proven track record of building and leading technical teams, preferably within a production environment.
