Description

POSITION SUMMARY

This position performs day-to-day maintenance functions in compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Assists with monitoring, inspecting, and ensuring the safe and efficient function and operation of all buildings, equipment, systems and grounds, in a proactive manner.
  2. Assists with installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and physical structures including pipe and electrical systems in the facility.
  3. Performs ground maintenance including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, raking and disposing of leaves and refuse in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Assists the director of environmental services in setting maintenance practices and completing maintenance projects. Assists developing procedures for performing daily maintenance tasks.
  5. Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

SCOPE OF IMPACT
Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the general upkeep and care of assigned areas to ensure daily operations of the facility can operate.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Basic electrical/mechanical experience preferred
Licensure and Certification:
  • Valid Nebraska Driver's License
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:
  • Electricity and electrical equipment.
  • Tools and grounds keeping equipment.
Skills in:
  • Identifying problems; making frequent decisions regarding method or performance.
  • Effective communication.
  • Trouble shooting.
Ability to:
  • Write reports and correspondence.
  • Generate, read, interpret, and take action as it relates to basic financial statements, national and state regulations, operational and maintenance, and organizational policy/procedures.
  • Problem solve while working in stressful situations.
  • Work in various weather conditions.
