Job Description Job Description ***THIS A REMOTE POSITION*****US CITIZEN & GREENCARD HOLDER ONLY***Major objective(s) of the role:Working as part of the Agile team to provide dedicated Quality Engineer testing with a focus on providing support to a web-based legacy system with complex Insurance business integrations across multiple platforms. As part of the Team, you will provide both automation and manual testing support. Documenting your testing to a high standard providing QE sign off on Jira Tasks for Acceptance Criteria and clearly communicating any blockers/impediments to you getting work completed in the timelines set out and agreed for sprints.MUST HAVE technologies for this position:CypressJIRAJenkinsSharePointJavaMUST HAVE Critical Skills for this position:Great Communication skills/ Able to clearly communicate with all the Team to give and get information needed to complete tasks assignedGreat Analytical skills/ dig into problems and come out with facts-based solutions clearly tie in testing to acceptance criteria laid out in JIRAsOrganized/Be able to manage the tasks and documentation and keep for tracking purposes/good test documentation is a mustCypress proficient or good automation experience ideally cypress as this is the tool and framework we are using/be comfortable to be able to update and maintain existing features in the tool and add to the feature files where neededPrevious Experience in insurance-based role would be an advantage/knowledge of insurance based web testing and the medical insurance industryNICE TO HAVE technologies:TOSCAGitHubResponsibilities: Develops test strategy and test cases that meet the necessary testing of systems designed and that conform to functional and nonfunctional requirements. Thoroughly tests software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. Performs functional/acceptance/regression testing against necessary systems. Documents all problems and works to resolve them in a timely manner; reports progress on problem resolution to management. Documents necessary QA artifacts based on necessary QA processes and procedures. Requirements: BS/BA degree or equivalent experience required. Five years or more of experience as a Quality Assurance Lead. Requires sound knowledge of quality assurance methods and procedures, as well as familiarity with the full life cycle development processes. Has an understanding of QA principles and project management basic principles. Requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, organizational skills, interpersonal skills and project planning skills. Demonstrates aptitude towards problem identification, resolution and comprehension and interpretation of technical procedures. Is a quick study; applies what is learned on the job and QA principles/knowledge and can readily adapt to situations where there may be ambiguity in requirements or systems processes.
