POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit & Collection Representative to join our credit team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining positive relationships with clients while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Account Management: Monitor and manage customer accounts, including analyzing credit data and payment histories to determine risk levels.
  • Collections: Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to collect outstanding debts, negotiate payment plans, and resolve payment issues.
  • Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to billing and payment issues in a timely manner.
  • Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records of collections activity, account status, and related documentation. Generate regular reports for management on outstanding accounts and collection activities.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and relevant laws pertaining to credit and collections.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage timely payments while addressing concerns professionally and effectively.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., sales, customer service) to address customer needs and improve overall credit and collections processes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with accounting software and collections tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Employment Experience: Minimum of 5-year experience in credit and collections, accounts receivable, or a related field.

Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Ability to navigate stairs/stairwells to get to job location(s)
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to work with or near wool material and products
  • Ability to work in environments that can become extremely hot/humid
