The Cafe Cook prepares and serves food to employees,residents, and families in our Down the Stretch Cafe. Prepares, cooks, anddelivers dishes and ensures good sanitary conditions throughout our cooking anddining premises. Money transactions are part of the duties. The goal is toprovide excellent food services by following instructions and standards. TheCafe Coordinator must be competent and conscientious with a customer-orientedapproach.
Common Responsibilities:
•Takes orders, preparesand serves food following instructions while adhering to all safety and healthstandards and work as short order cook.
•Operates dishwasher,sweeps and mops kitchen, refrigerator and dishwasher rooms.
•Checks in and puts awayorders and deliveries in storeroom and coolers as needed.
•Monitors and keepsinventory of food items, and other products, places orders with the kitchen weeklyfor delivery.
•Performs heavy cleaning,such as ovens and grills as requested.
Requirements
•High School Diploma orGED preferred.
•Food service experiencepreferred but not required.
•Frequently lifts and/ormoves up to 25pounds and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 60 pounds.
