Job Objective
The Receptionist is responsible for maintaining a professional, calm manner while greeting and directing visitors, interacting with Residents and supporting other departments with projects. When scheduled at the Community Services desk, additional responsibilities include the handling of the main switchboard's incoming calls during normal business hours. The Receptionist assumes full oversight of the Main Lobby and Community Services desks as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED

Experience

Prior receptionist experience preferred and/or 2 years of related experience.

Lead by example and serve as a role model for Mozaic Core Values and common courtesy i.e. immediate eye contact, greet resident/visitors promptly and in a friendly welcoming manner, use names, gauge time appropriateness for conversations.
  2. Strong Communication Skills - Effectively communicate to residents, visitors and vendors in a confident manner. Communicate to supervisors and management in a clear, concise and timely manner. Provide ongoing feedback to supervisor.
  3. Strong telephone etiquette.
  4. Decision Making Skills - Independently make quick, educated decisions on the spot in accordance with internal policies and procedures that will not negatively affect MSL.
  5. Multitasking Skills - Successfully perform multiple tasks and assignments in an accurate and time manner while meeting other needs of the business.

Essential Functions
  1. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, patience and tact in dealing with Residents and visitors.
  2. Maintain a neat, well-organized work area free of clutter and non-essential paperwork, binders, etc.
  3. Answer visitor inquiries.
  4. Daily usage of computer, telephone and other office equipment needed to perform multiple tasks and assignments accurately and timely.
  5. Oversight of safety and security of Residents visiting the Main Lobby and or Community Service area (Roam Alert A/K/A Wander Guard).
  6. Responsible for fire alarm announcements.
  7. Responsible for opening/closing the Main Lobby doors.
  8. Assist other departments with "projects" as directed by Supervisor.
  9. Complete Mandatory State Required In-Services.
  10. Other duties as assigned.
