Selenium Cucumber Automated Tester

Elevate Technology Solutions is currently accepting applications for a Senior Automated Test Engineer. Selected Candidates will work on the test approach and test tool selection; and support requirements analysis, decomposition, test success criteria, and test method assignment. The test approach must include automated functional tests, scalability / performance test, and security assurance tests. As the project moves from design to development, the Test Engineer will help set up the test environment and harnesses, and create automated tests to verify the application as it is incrementally integrated. The Test Engineer will interact with the test data generator and injection tool to create mission representative mission test data for various scenarios. The Test Engineer may also need to travel to the Navy sites in California and Hawaii to support government-led acceptance and operational testing.. The Senior Automated Test Engineer will be responsible for the following:

• Prior experience with automated functional testing using tools such as Selenium or Cucumber (functional test), SoapUI (API tests), JMeter (performance test), and Zephyr (test manager & test status dashboard). Experience level should be moderate-to-high.
• Automated functional testing primarily involves creating scripts to drive the various test tools (Selenium, JMeter, SoapUI). Experience and proficiency with programming or scripting languages such as Java and Python is required.
• Able to plan a system test program for a small-to-moderate sized system that includes functional, performance, and security testing; and a high-degree of automated testing.
• Able to read and use SysML models as the primary source of the system design (e.g., interface definitions, use cases, mission threads, system components & their allocated requirements).
• Able to represent the BECM project at the Navys System-of-System test working group, report on test program status, expose possible risks and help develop and enact mitigation strategies.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum, using Jira stories to plan, assign, and track work.
• Experience working in a DevSecOps program with practices such as Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, automated status & document generation (including test plans & results), and Everything-as-Code.

The Senior Automated Test Engineer must meet the following qualifications:

• 7-10 years of automated testing experience
• Must have broad understanding of DOD contracting
• Must have a Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility at a minimum.
• Bachelor Degree preferred
• Open to working in a SCIF Onsite in Dulles with some variable travel to Hawaii or California should there be some simulation events requiring testing support
