Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for various accounting activities within the accounting organization, including the preparation of monthly accounting records, reporting, analytical tasks, and initiatives.
General Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze excess and obsolescence of inventory, capitalized variances, and other inventory-related analysis and entries.
- Monitor and coordinate warehouse counting procedures and controls with regional and warehouse leaders.
- Prepare global inventory flux analysis for management review.
- Reconcile company and global inventory balances to inventory sub-ledgers.
- Participate in controllership and oversight activities.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Lead management reporting for balance sheet flux, earnings package, and other internal-use financial reporting as required.
- Conduct pricing and revenue cutoff testing procedures.
- Execute revenue reporting processes, including transactional tie-outs.
- Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Utilize accounting systems and procedures, collaborating with management and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Prepare financial statements and supplemental schedules.
- Provide advice on business processes to ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
- Prepare special financial reports as required by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Preferred experience with Oracle ERP and inventory accounting.
- Experience with Hyperion/SmartView/EPM is desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentation).
- Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
- High personal and professional ethical standards.
- Accountable for achieving goals and standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including suppliers and external customers.
