In this role, the Building Automation Engineer/Estimator will collaborate with both Controlled Air Mechanical and the Yanmar Energy sales teams with Building Automation estimates and Design of 2D Cad Control Drawings. Our control systems are meticulously designed to meet the highest industry standards. At Controlled Air within the Yanmar Group, we are dedicated to utilizing cutting-edge building controls and products. Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with our Team to tailor a BMS solution that aligns with the customer/bid requirements, ensuring we meet tight deadlines and exceed their expectations.
Strategically pursue design-build and plan/spec projects to maintain a consistent workflow for the department.
Assist Mechanical or Energy Sales teams in design-build endeavors, including conducting site inspections.
Furnish a Bill Of Material.
Embrace a team-oriented mindset, working closely with fellow team members.
Maintain an open-minded and creative approach, thinking innovatively to devise solutions and achieve energy savings.
Contribute to projects' success by ensuring they are completed on schedule and under budget.
Foster and sustain customer relationships through effective communication and service
Offer effective resolutions to customer issues.
Maintain proficiency in all current lines of controls and field devices, demonstrating a strong commitment to success.
Possess knowledge of management planning and scheduling.
Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Requirements:
Degree in HVAC Technology or equivalent practical experience or professional license.
3 years of Building Automation experience in HVAC industry or related field.
3 years of Estimating experience.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC Building Automation, HVAC Installation and HVAC Service/Maintenance practices.
This position is full time, and based in Branford CT.
Valid driver's license
Must be a US citizen.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Capable of adjusting to the physical requirements of commercial tasks, such as working in varying temperatures, lifting heavy loads, and working at heights on ladders and elevated surfaces.
