Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in the Murfreesboro, TN area Job Description:This position will reports to the Engineering Manager to investigate, design, develop or contract, and test concepts for improving the performance metrics of the company for existing and future product manufacturing areas. Set-up and operate various types of machines, tools, and power hand tools used to manufacture, alter, or repair machine components, and prototypes. Install, debug and run-off new or improved processes and train others in the operation and maintenance of these processes.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Manage capital improvement projects - develop RFQ, acquire proposals and quotes, creating and manage timeline and fiscal budgetDesign and implement changes / modifications to existing production machines and toolingInstall and test new production machine designs, including concepts and tooling, and the development of fully functioning machines..Provide technical assistance, instruction and training to all levels of the company on set-up techniques and procedures, preventative maintenance and operation of production machines and toolingTroubleshoot and repair production machines and tooling, in conjunction with production, maintenance, tool room, managers and engineers.Perform dimensional inspection of product, tooling, and machine components, as requiredProduce parts for samples or prototype orders.Contact equipment/tooling vendors and investigate manufacturing processes, components, methods, tooling that will improve company metricsTravel to the other locations within the company, vendors, customers, trade shows, and training as required.Additional Skills & Qualifications:B.S.
