JOB SUMMARY

The Digital Platforms Manager will be pivotal in shaping and managing our digital platform offerings. This leader will be responsible for creating a strategic vision for TPCC's website and mobile app, establishing the plan to execute the strategy, and being deeply involved in the execution required to bring these solutions to production. This individual will own the product lifecycle from concept through to delivery and ensure that our platforms meet the needs of our attendees and align with TPCC values and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a balanced skill set, excelling in both strategic planning and tactical execution, and possess excellent relationship and collaboration skills and discernment in using our digital capabilities. This person will possess platform knowledge to drive innovation within and on our digital platforms. The Digital Platforms Manager will take a broader view, using research and data analysis to guide TPCC's digital product plans. This individual must be excellent at working alongside project managers, application developers, and in tight partnerships with ministry leaders.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This position will build a small team. These individuals will be responsible for executing the day-to-day upkeep of the digital platforms.
DUTIES/PRIMARY JOB PRODUCTS
  • Provide strategic guidance on the best way to leverage Rock (TPCC's Church Management System, ChMS), TPCC's website and app to foster and encourage the engagement of attendees and to meet the strategic needs of TPCC.
  • Partner with Marketing, Creative, Strategy and Ministry teams to develop and deploy enhancements to the ChMS, the website and the app.
  • Work closely with the Applications and Ministry teams to identify new opportunities, assess and align timelines, and prioritize projects.
  • Partner with the IT Solutions team on the development of training assets and communications that improve capabilities aligned with planned features.
  • Anticipate the needs of ministries and create solutions that align with ministry goals.
  • Work with app developers to translate ministry needs to Rock and website development.
  • Recognize process gaps and propose solutions that align with TPCC's strategies.
  • Develop deep expertise in the ChMS platform.
  • Gather and document technical requirements for software deliverables.
  • Create wireframes, screen mockups, and other resources for developers.
  • Document tasks and work item details in the work management system.
  • Maintain accurate documentation regarding work progress and completion to aid in effective time management and facilitate business continuity.
  • Work with IT leadership to create and manage good development practices, standards and systems for internal use and use by contractors.
  • Function as part of the IT team, participating in meetings and providing operational support during TPCC events that require the presence of the IT team.
  • Design and develop highly effective and engaging user experiences in the digital platform.
  • Complete research and data analysis to guide the development of the roadmap for the digital platforms.
  • Maximize the use, utilization, and impact of digital platforms.
  • Promotes a staff culture that encourages, measures and rewards mission-focused results, personal growth and the development of others.

  • This position reports directly to the IT Director
  • Engage fully as an IT staff member, attend applicable meetings and required special events.
  • Actively engage within and contribute to the greater Rock RMS community.
  • Actively maintain productive and healthy relationships with TPCC ministries and the staff within each department.
  • Maintain consistent interactions with TPCC staff, volunteers, and guests, building clear discernment of user experience with TPCC digital platforms.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • 8 or more years of direct experience in managing digital products.

  • Extended periods in meetings in-person and online.
  • Occasional extended periods of standing.
