Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.Job Objective:Process donated goods in the back room of a store or in the warehouse. Follow all procedures as set out by The Salvation Army in the handling and processing of these goods. Provide excellent customer service to our shoppers and donors. Maintain a clean and well organized work and shopping experience. Handle each transaction with accuracy.Essential Functions:Sort, tag and price merchandise as instructed.Track production numbers and report in the assigned location.Move priced merchandise to floor for display and stocking, or to the designated shipping location in the warehouse.Assist donors with donations. Complete donation receipts, collect donor information and track donors.Power sort donations into the correct bins.Receive ARC Center trucks and assist to load, unload and move product to the correct departments.Maintain clean work and storage spaces.Follow all Salvation Army policies regarding the sale of merchandise.Assist in keeping the floor stocked, and put new merchandise out as assigned. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Ability to use basic math skills.Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background test.Physical Requirements:The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the duties of this job.
