Job Summary:
Reporting to the CFO and as a member of the management team, the Controller is responsible for the financial accuracy and internal controls of the cost accounting system and data used for product costing and pricing, as well as other related accounting information. This individual is cross trained in the periodic duties and responsibilities of the financial statement reporting, inventory control functions, and the management of overhead expenses. The position also requires that the individual interfaces effectively across all functional areas and can perform under time constraints.

Job Duties
•Develop and maintain the cost accounting system and identify improvements and changes to the system reflective of product and cost changes as they occur in the plant.
•Analyze and recommend process and efficiency improvements related to manufacturing processes and related cost savings.
•Prepare and complete internal cost variance analysis.
•Analyze the data collected and log a detailed record of the results.
•Analyze any changes in goods or services provided to determine what effect it has on the cost.
•Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing estimated costs to actual production costs.
•Develop estimates of new and proposed product costs.
•Provide reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services.
•Manage the periodic physical inventories and the inventory cycle count program.
•Responsible for other duties, special projects, and business analysis as assigned.

Education and Experience:
•Bachelor's degree in accounting.
•Minimum 4 years of applicable work experience.
•Sound understanding of accounting principles.
•Manufacturing industry background
•Solid cost systems background.
•Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
•Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
•Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
•Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
•Excellent report-writing, communication, and IT skills.
