Foxdale Village, a life plan community guided by Quaker values, is a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in State College, PA. Foxdale Village was founded on the values of treating every person with dignity and respect and actively strives to create an engaging and welcoming environment for all. We are seeking a full-time Custodian to join our caring and dedicated team. This position generally works Monday-Friday, every other weekend, 3pm-11:30pm. This position participates in rotating holidays. Every third week this position works as the night watch, working 10:30pm-7:00am. Custodian Job Duties include:Perform assigned janitorial duties (e.g., sweeping, mopping and vacuuming, trash removal) of various facility areas, according to scheduleClean restrooms, break rooms, and common areasComplete laundry tasks as requiredMake campus rounds and respond to incidents as needed to ensure resident and staff securityNote maintenance issues and complete work orders as needed.Perform campus rounds according to scheduleSecure community building in the eveningAssist with snow removal and de-ice as neededPerform other environmental services duties as needed/assigned by supervisorTransport residents to and from the hospital as directed by Health Services (using Foxdale Village vehicle).Maintain punctuality and regular, predictable attendance in order to meet the nightly custodial and security needs of the facility.Full-Time Custodian Benefits at Foxdale Village Include:Health, Dental & Vision Insurance PlansShort Term, Long Term, and Life Insurance PlansPaid time off (PTO)Time and a half pay for holidays worked403 (B) retirement program with Match OptionsFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Tuition Reimbursement ProgramEmployee EventsCareer Development OpportunitiesYears of Service Recognition Program RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or its equivalent is required.Experience: Minimum of one-year of related experience is preferred.Language: Must be able to effectively communicate in English.Math: Must be able to complete tasks using basic mathematical skills.Licenses/Certifications: Must possess a valid PA Driver's License.Physical Requirements of the Position:Specific physical characteristics and abilities are required to perform the work, such as agility, dexterity and long periods of walking, standing, bending, carrying or lifting supplies and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds (with assistance when needed).
