CyberCore is seeking a proactive and resourceful IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support, including hardware and software installation, network administration, and user assistance. This role requires someone who can efficiently manage IT requests, ensure smooth operation of IT systems, and deliver excellent customer service to end-users. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet the needs of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Support Coordination: Manage the IT ticket board by assigning tickets to relevant IT personnel based on request type, ensuring timely resolution.
- Procurement and Installation: Identify and request procurement of necessary hardware and software to meet user needs. Install and configure hardware components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to users for both voice and computer systems. Install and maintain essential software packages, including operating systems, networking components, and office applications.
- Network and Server Management: Oversee network and server administration, ensuring the security and integrity of systems, including monitoring backup protocols.
- User Assistance: Customize and adapt existing programs to meet user requirements. Offer telephone, in-person, and online support to end-users, including initial training on facilities and applications.
- Communication and Reporting: Keep managers and users informed of updates, status, and completion of tasks via various communication methods.
- Hardware Issue Resolution: Refer complex hardware issues to service personnel and coordinate with vendors for technology-related services.
- Email and Security Administration: Manage email systems and antivirus software, ensuring robust security measures are in place.
- Procedure Documentation: Follow established procedures while being innovative in problem-solving. Document new or revised procedures according to departmental standards.
Work Hours, Schedule & Flexibility:
- Primarily weekdays, with occasional evening or weekend events requiring attendance to best represent the company. Flexible scheduling is possible as long as organizational needs are met.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency with Windows Server and Office Suite Products
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to identify trends
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SharePoint and basic network configuration
- Proficiency in Adobe products
- A+ Certification is highly desirable
- Positive attitude, proactive approach, and a strong work ethic
