Director Med/Surg Los Angeles, CA Our client is a 370 bed hospital and is part of one of the largest and most successful hospitals in the United States, with over 30 hospitals in over 10 states. This hospital offers a level II emergency department, orthopedic care, advanced cardiac services, peripheral artery disease treatment and OB/GYN services in a caring and conducive environment. Our client has an immediate need for a Director of Medical/Surgical Services to guide and lead a tenured department. Job Summary The Director of Med/Surg - Telemetry is a Registered Nurse who assumes 24 hour administrative responsibility for the management of all nursing service functions within medical/surgical/telemetry unit(s). Required Qualifications Current and valid state registered nurse license. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. Current Critical Care RN (CCRN) or Medical Surgical Certified (ANA) certificate(s) upon hire, preferred. A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary. Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting preferred. Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
