**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** ICU **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Rotating weekends **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting **License:** Active TX RN License required **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIH **Must-Have:** - General ICU experience with titration of drips - Minimum 2 years of hospital experience **Job Description:** - Provide high-quality care for patients in a Medical Intensive Care Unit - Perform and manage critical procedures including A-line, central lines, chest tubes, cardioversion, and paracentesis - Ensure accurate and timely documentation using Meditech - Work collaboratively as part of the ICU team including unit secretaries and charge nurses - Maintain a 2:1 patient ratio (3:1 if low acuity) - Adhere to the floating policy and cover shifts as needed - Follow dress code guidelines, including wearing navy scrub top and pants, and navy or white scrub jacket - Maintain personal hygiene and appearance standards, including clean and healthy nails, and neat hair and beards - Cover visible tattoos where feasible and adhere to the piercing policy This position requires a strong understanding of ICU procedures and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with neuro ICU experience and advanced skills such as CABG, CRRT, Prisma Flex will be considered first.
