Tax Associate .
Purposeof the Role
In this role, you will focus taxengagements for our firm’s individual and business clients. With yourbackground, you add value for tax assignments from basic to moderatecomplexity, and you continuously and pro-actively participate in processimprovement initiatives.
You’ll have regular clientcontact, which means good client service skills are required, including thewillingness and ability to recognize and respond to opportunities to provideexpanded or new services to clients. You report to one of Crisler’s ProjectManagers.
YourResponsibilities
Youassist with gathering information from clients, completing assignments andcoordinating with preparers and managers.
Youmonitor and report on assigned engagements' status and maintain open lines ofcommunication with clients and supervisors regarding services.
Youattend appointments with clients and assemble information to completeassignments.
Youprepare and review federal, state and local tax returns and answer tax-relatedquestions for clients together with the assistance, and under the directsupervision, of senior tax personnel.
Youwork diligently to resolve questions regarding the appropriate treatment ofroutine to moderately complex tax return matters.
Inorder for the firm to produce accurate billing, you maintain control of timeand charges, and you participate in pricing and billing client services.
Youwork independently, you’re able to make decisions on ordinary tax returnmatters, and produce a consistent amount of valuable work for our clients andyour colleagues.
Youperform basic tax planning, research, and consulting engagements as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’sDegree or near completion required. Master's Degree and/or Licensed CPA orCPA-Candidate strongly preferred.
Noexperience required. One to three years of tax experience in a CPA firmstrongly preferred.
Proficientwith QuickBooks (Desktop & Online) and Microsoft Office.
Youhave great attention to detail, sound communication and analytical skills andthe ability to advise your team and clients on services and solutions.
