Title: Medical Practice Patient Representative (Clerical Office Assistant) Employment type: Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm Shift: 8 hour shifts Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively. Ensures accuracy of patient information, including demographics and insurance. Answers phones, routes calls, takes messages, and assures accurate communication verbally and via the EMR system. Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, tests, and referrals. Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols. Monitors applications and manages worklists as applicable. Collects co?pays and reconciles funds for deposit. Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients. Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. Maintains and models the organizations values. Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance. Performs other duties as required. High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. 1 year customer?related experience required. Preferred: 1+ years of healthcare experience. Ability to travel between practices as needed.
