Business Controller – (1 opening) Supervise & assist w/ day-to-day ops of Acctg Dept. Effectively organize admin workflow to gain efficiency, overcome difficulties, and keep trans & accts up to date. ID and implement nec process changes/updates for efficiency & improvements following management guidelines & expectations. Mng, create, & monitor G/L Accounts, & research tech accounting issues for compliance. Bal & maintain accurate ledgers. Pay vendor invoices & track bank acct balances. Effectively invoice customers. Responsible for A/R activities, reporting & collection; negotiate final resolution on outstanding bills involving key people for support. Mng Fin Statements & Income Statements in US & Italian formats. Mng credits according to approval proc & inform necessary stakeholders. Maintain records according to GAAP including recording journal entries, A/P, A/R, & bank statement reconciliation. Answer questions from vendors, employees, & customers about bills, paychecks, & invoices. Effectively mng budget, reporting crit deviations, IDing areas of opportunities & produce timely reports to be shared with management. Prepare fin reports for each business area (parts, service and upgrades), IDing potential problems impacting the expected margin level. Periodically present reports to management. Help ID & produce periodic KPIs by dep to monitor progress and achievements. Prepare periodic reports related to budget vs spending, proj’s & forecasts including sales & bookings according to the Italian format. Responsible for HR activities, incl confidential records, payroll, benefits, onboarding, & training path. Monitor benefit plans & ID saving opportunities, create a mid to long term strategy in line with management guidelines. Mng hiring strategy, recruiters & all aspects related to finding required talent. Comply w/ all regulations. Miscellaneous admin tasks as assigned by management. Effectively interface w/ local CPA & optimize associated costs. Educ Req: Bach degree in Accounting or Finance or foreign deg equiv Exp Req: 2 yrs of exp in the job offered or a closely related position. Skills Req: Experience w/ admin process including balancing accts. 2 yrs exp with ERP including Databases queries & management. Experience w/ auditing & budget prep. 2 yrs of advanced experience in Excel incl Macros and custom-made reporting. Experience w/ crediting collection w/ ability to negotiate disputed invoices.
