Steam Turbine Mechanic

Summary: The steam turbine mechanic will be responsible for all phases of inspection, DCI, assembly and testing of assigned work on various steam turbines within the Wellsville service center. Including: Murray, Coppus, DR, Elliott, and others as required. Occasional travel to customer sites to aid in trouble shooting activities may be required.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure all work under your responsibility is done safelyResponsible for the quality of the work that you are assigned, zero quality escapesResponsible for thorough documentation of as received, disassembly, assembly, and testing stepsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Receive job assignments from product line lead personAdherence to shop routers and processes is requiredDisassemble turbines and document findingsClean parts using brushes, parts cleaners, and shot blastMeasure parts using micrometers, calipers, and other pertinent measuring toolsParticipate in repair path developmentAssemble and test turbinesOperate fork trucks, cranes, and other parts movement equipmentMay be assigned other work as requiredMetricsQuality NCR'sAttainment of budgeted vs actual hoursFirst pass test yieldQualifications and Attributes:Humble - Communicate and listen to other team members and clientsCurious - Wants to learn and willing to be coachedSelf-reflective - Willing to analyze self-performance and look for opportunities to improveOpen - Willing to be vulnerable with employees and superiors.
