Position Summary Under general direction, manages project scoping, planning, funding, approval, and implementation. Works with staff members and other stakeholders to successfully plan and execute projects that support the priorities of the organization while ensuring that projects are completed on schedule. Representative Duties Coordinates and manages projects, adhering to project management standards and methodology with tools and documents as required. Manages project scope, client priorities, and expectations of product and services to ensure customer satisfaction. Tracks day-to-day activities to ensure projects are completed on time and in line with organizational goals and requirements. Coordinates assigned staff in planning, design and implementation of highly complex projects. Manages task integration and tracks/delivers against the plan. Acts as lead contact for internal and external customers on assigned projects. Forecasts resource needs and secures skilled staff in advance. Develops budgets and tracks invoicing as appropriate. Communicates project requirements and commitments to clients, ANTHC staff and management. Participates with other project managers in standards development and process improvement. Publishes and maintains status, communication, and risk plans as per ANMC standards. Conducts project meetings and performs project tracking, analysis and budgeting. Performs other duties as assigned. Professional Levels Project Manager I Assists in scope and objectives; develops detailed work plans with milestones and responsibilities. Project Manager II Leads development of scope and objectives; develops detailed work plans; provides matrix supervision. Project Manager III Provides strong leadership; leads development of scope and objectives; serves as lead contact and mentors other PMs. Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio. Knowledge of project management experience with standard methodologies in a healthcare environment. Skill in prioritizing multiple tasks and managing relationships with stakeholders. Skill in working with diverse cultural, political, educational, socio-economic and geographic backgrounds. Skill in addressing sensitive issues and aligning project goals with business case and scope. Skill in developing integrated project plans and tracking status. Education and Experience Minimum Education: Bachelors degree in project management or related field. A year-for-year substitute for experience. Experience (Project Manager I): Four (4) years; (II): Seven (7) years; (III): Ten (10) years managing major projects. An equivalent combination of education and/or training may be substituted. Certification: Relevant industry certification/licensure for II and III; four years of additional PM work may substitute for certification. Preferred Education: N/A Preferred Experience: Experience in healthcare operations, data/analytics, and/or IT in a healthcare environment. Preferred Certification: Project Management Professional.
