Labview Automation Engineer

Mission
As a Labview automation engineer at PLD Space, your mission is to developand maintain robust and efficient software for the ground systems that ensure thereliable and accurate testing of our systems and components. You will play akey role in designing, implementing, and testing software solutions, enablingeffective communication, monitoring, and control of our MIURA vehicles andground infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Collaboratewith cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, propulsion team,avionics team and flight operations, to gather requirements and contributeto the design of ground software systems.
Participatein the testing and validation of ground software systems to ensure their functionality,reliability, and compliance with mission requirements.
Troubleshootand debug software issues, working closely with the development team andstakeholders to identify and implement effective solutions.
Integrateground software systems with other components of the aerospace system,such as onboard software and ground control systems.
Stayupdated on the latest advancements in software technologies and industrystandards, applying them to enhance the performance and capabilities ofground software systems.
Documentsoftware designs, specifications, and procedures, as well as maintaincomprehensive documentation for knowledge sharing and futurereference.
Adhereto software development methodologies, quality standards, and safety protocolsto ensure the reliability and security of ground software systems.
Authonomy in the development in all the phases of the complex technological projects.

Required Knowledge
Bachelor'sdegree in automation, electronics, telecommunication engineering or arelated field.
>3 years of relevant technical experience.
Deepknowledge of NI LabVIEW programming and efficient LabVIEW real-timearchitectures.
Experienceprogramming FPGAs on LabVIEW.
Experienceprogramming deterministic real-time applications on cRIO platforms focusedon reliability and efficiency.
Knowledgeof industrial protocols: etherCAT, CAN / CANopen, EtherNet/IP, TSN,Modbus, etc.
Knowledgeof TwinCAT 3 (Beckhoff) or other PLC
Understandingof software testing and debugging techniques.
Familiarwith static code analysis, unit testing and continuous integration tools.
Knowledgeof electronic instrumentation and control.
Desired Knowledge
Understandingof fluid systems and thermodynamics concepts.
Experiencewith HIL test systems.
NationalInstruments official certifications.
Knowledgeof other NI tools such as NI Systemlink, DIademand Veristand.
Knowledgeof networking protocols, databases, and web technologies utilized inground software development.
Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot andresolve software issues and a ttentionto detail and a focus on quality.
Effectivecommunication and collaboration abilities to work within a team and interactwith stakeholders.
Flexibilityand ability to work with few specified and changing requirements.
