Position Description Key Responsibilities Required Education & Qualifications General Job Description Works with another employee in putting on unpainted parts and removing painted parts from the overhead conveyor paint line. Places parts on skids in such a way as to protect paint surfaces. Large parts are loaded and unloaded by two people. Performs material handling as necessary. Inspects painted parts as they are taken off the conveyor to ensure the quality of the paint finish. Notifies the Supervisor or Paint Line Coordinator of below standard paint finish. Records time and production. Education Level Required High School diploma or equivalent. Experience or Training Required Requires reading, writing, adding, subtracting, and following of instructions. Must be able to successfully master all elements of training control document for this job. Essential Job Functions (the fundamental job duties) 1. Obtains unpainted manufactured parts from skid or basket and hangs from hooks on moving overhead conveyor line which takes parts to paint booth to be painted. 2. Takes painted parts off of moving conveyor and stacks on skid in such a manner as to protect the painted surfaces. 3. Visually examines painted parts when removing from conveyor to ensure quality finish. Report substandard finish to Supervisor or Paint Line Coordinator. 4. Works directly with another operator to load and unload large parts. 5. Records time and production. 6. Works eight-hour shift concurrently with other plant operations. Periodic daily and weekend overtime as production schedules demand. 7. May be assigned task of training new/transferred employees as required. 8. Other essential functions as may be assigned.
