This position will be responsible for supporting the Corporate finance function at Old Dominion Freight Line. This individual will provide critical financial insights and analytical support to help drive business decisions. The responsibilities will include financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and dashboard creation. The successful candidate will have a proven record of strong analytical thought process, attention to detail, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities:

Perform cost center and profit center reporting and financial analysis for various functions
Create new or update existing financial models and templates
Analyze financial and business information from internal and external sources to identify underlying business drivers and trends to deliver improved profitability
Develop cross-functional partnerships and effectively communicate financial information to business partners
Support financial period close process with assigned tasks
Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis on month-over-month and year-over-year trends
Analyze financial information and provide accurate and timely analysis to management
Investigate and determine cause of variances and recommend corrective action to business partners
Support ad hoc projects such as report design, data queries, dashboard creation
Drive implementation of financial planning best practices
Execute the companys service center P&L system
Job Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
CPA, CMA or MBA is a plus
Experience:

Minimum 2-5 years of finance experience preferable in an FP&A function
Advanced Excel/pivot table skills
Knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP systems and reporting is a plus
Experience with analytics platforms such as Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBi is a plus
Demonstrated strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated
