Job Title: CNC MachinistJob DescriptionAs a CNC machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes. Your duties will include changing out tooling, clamps, vices, performing offsets, and zeroing out the machine. You will be expected to perform first-piece and through-process quality inspections using micrometers and calipers. Your role will also involve producing precision components according to blueprints, performing necessary part inspections using specified gauging instruments, and setting up for a new or an existing component to be machined. You'll also be tasked with obtaining the necessary tooling.SkillsPrevious CNC operating, CNC setup experience or CNC trade school Ability to perform own quality checks utilizing micrometers, calipers, and various gaugesAbility to operate a CNC Mill or latheblueprints Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Hanover Park, Illinois.Work EnvironmentOur facility is air controlled, well lit, and very organized, with a slight smell of oil and metal. It is climate-controlled and features a comfortable break room and training room,With 120 CNC machines, including 60 mills and 60 lathes, our Hanover Park facility is equipped with various G & M Code-based brands with various controllers.
