Job Title: Lab Technician
Job Description
As a Lab Technician, you will be an integral member of the Quality team, responsible for sample logging, testing, condition monitoring, and lab upkeep. You will work closely with the R&D team on sample handling and production floor checks. Your role will include lab testing to uphold workmanship standards and support the blending and packaging functions of high-performance petroleum products. Responsibilities include performing instrumental analysis to ensure reliability and conformance to specifications, condition monitoring, running lab tests, backing up the quality department, and maintaining lab quality standards. You will also be involved in calibration, validation, and troubleshooting of instruments, sample receiving, in-process testing, results generation, and preparing results with the LIMS system.

Work Environment
95% working in the lab, 5% on the production floor completing QC checks. The position is part of a 6-8 person lab group that covers Quality, Product Development, and Condition Monitoring. The culture is outgoing. The role operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 4:00pm-1:00am, Monday to Friday. Training will take place on this shift, and you should be comfortable working alone from 8pm-1am.
