About the job Customer Care Specialist - Benefits and Claims
Top Gun Staffing Group LLC has partnered with a TPA (third-party administrator) to identify Customer Support Specialists to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling and resolving benefit questions, claims processing issues, and delivering world-class customer service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a thorough understanding of healthcare and/or employee benefit programs.
Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming calls from members and providers for a wide range of healthcare and/or employee benefit programs
- Research specific claims processing issues and identify solutions in a timely fashion
- Document customer interactions in a clear and concise manner
- Provide accurate and timely responses to customer inquiries
- Identify and escalate complex issues to the appropriate department
- Provide exceptional customer service at all times
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- Previous experience in a contact center role, ideally within the healthcare or insurance industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry
- Bilingual in Spanish is a HUGE plus
Candidates can be assigned to any shift based on business needs / demands.
- Monday - Friday (37.5-hour work week)
- 8:00AM 4:00PM
- 8:30AM 4:30PM
- 9:00AM 5:00PM
- 9:30PM 5:30PM
- 10:00AM 6:00PM
- Starting pay is $22.00 - $23.00/hour commensurate with experience.
