Estimating Manager

The Estimating Manager will be responsible for managing and performing all estimating activities to put together a successful bid. This individual must have an understanding of the bid process for public and private work and the environment of working with non-negotiable bid deadlines.
Job Responsibilities
* Project selection and identification with Senior Management.
* Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
* Work in estimating system to bid work.
* Lead a team bidding projects in the Infrastructure Market.
* Lead the review process of the bid with estimating and operations.
* Lead margin reviews with Senior Management.
* Understand the schedule of construction projects.
* Able to manage multiple estimates at the same time.
* Foster and maintain strategic Subcontractor and Vendor relationships.
* Participate in contract and change order negotiations.
Qualifications/ Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent education and field experience.
* 5-10 years of estimating experience with familiarity with heavy civil work, willing to expand knowledge of mechanical and electrical work.
* Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and HCSS required.
* Must possess excellent communication skills - both verbal and written, with the ability to produce highly professional estimates.
* Successful track record in client relations and upholding impeccable business ethics and standards.
