**Description**

**JOB DESCRIPTION:**

The Retail Services Trainer develops and provides professional training to new and existing Customer Service Representatives (bank tellers) and Financial Services Representatives (new account representatives) in the areas of: technical skills, product training, sales, and team building. Provides on-going coaching and development to CSR/FSR staff and serves as a role-model and resource for staff in the Retail banking division. The Retail Services Trainer is responsible for going beyond customer service expectations in providing superior and efficient service. Enhances employee-to-customer relationships and develops a program that views every interaction as a business development opportunity in order in increase our relationship banking goals.

* Maintain an expert knowledge of CSR and FSR duties including deposit transactions, and non-deposit banking services.

* Responsible for training all CSRs and FSRs including: technical and sales skills, service expectations, and teambuilding.

* Oversee and evaluate individual CSR/FSR performance by use of Progress Reports during their first 45 and 90 days of training.

* Provide regular and quarterly training to CSR/FSR staff on: new products and services, policies and procedures, fraud trends, Information Security training/testing, etc.

* Ability to perform all branch duties including safe deposit box, cash vault, CSR totals, ATM, cashiers check, and gift card logs.

* Develop and coordinate lead CSRs at each branch, ensuring effective mentoring is being provided to all CSRs.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:**

* 4 year college degree or related work experience

* Previous training experience in a financial setting preferred.

* Demonstrated knowledge of training techniques, methods, theories, materials, and programs.

* Previous retail banking experience preferred.

* Confident, engaging, and responsive public presentation skills.

* Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

* Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and programs with working knowledge of Word and Excel

* Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously, meet deadlines, and show flexibility to change direction when needed

* Team-oriented and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization

* Service-oriented, polite, and respectful

* Problem-solving, attention to detail and analytical skills

* Ability to take direction, instruction, and follow through independently until project completion

**HOURS:**

Some extended business hours.
