Family & Children's Place of Louisville, KY, is looking to hire a full-time Forensic Interviewer to provide forensic interviews with children and adolescents.

This human services position earns an hourly pay of $23.08 - $24/hour and a $300 sign-on bonus payable over the first year. We also offer great benefits, including medical, dental, vision, a 403(b) plan, paid time off (PTO), vacation time, paid sick time, up to 10 paid holidays, short- and long-term disability, and life insurance. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FORENSIC INTERVIEWER

As a Forensic Interviewer, you play a key role in providing interventions, coordination, collaboration, and advocacy services on behalf of children and families. This position utilizes trauma-informed, evidence-based practices and policies in its service delivery. The Forensic Interviewer works with law enforcement and prosecutors to ensure court-admissible information is collected, provides expert witness testimony for court, provides and coordinates information to all invested parties, and serves as a liaison to other treatment agencies. Additionally, the forensic interviewer's duties include conducting forensic interviews of children and adolescents when an allegation of abuse has been made, or a traumatic event has been witnessed.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FORENSIC INTERVIEWER
  • A minimum of a master's degree from an accredited college or university in a

    mental health, education, human services, or criminal justice field

    Two years of post-bachelor's degree direct service experience with children.
