PURPOSE OF POSITION

The main purpose of the Porter position is to ensure an extraordinary client experience while creating client advocates. In addition, the Porter will keep assigned facility and premises pristine.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, trim, and metalwork.
  • Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
  • Sweeps, mops, waxes, and polishes floor.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  • Dusts furniture and equipment.
  • Washes walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills.
  • Empties and cleans wastebaskets and outside ashtrays.
  • Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Replenishes bathroom supplies.
  • Replaces light bulbs.
  • Keeps sidewalks and lawn clean and free of litter.
  • Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
  • Sets up tables and chairs as requested for events, training and/or meetings.
  • Maintains inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS (Including Driver's License)

Operator's Driver's License (must be insurable)
