Title: Senior MachinistPosition Overview:Arrowhead Talent Solutions is helping a client in Willoughby, OH find a skilled Machinist to join their team. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. Your expertise in machining techniques and attention to detail will be essential in ensuring the quality and accuracy of the parts manufactured.Key Responsibilities:Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to understand part specifications and requirements.Set up CNC machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to job instructions.Program CNC machines using CAM software or manual programming techniques to generate machining instructions.Operate CNC machines to perform machining operations such as milling, turning, drilling, and grinding.Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to machine settings as needed to ensure part accuracy and quality.Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify conformance to specifications.Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions to maintain production efficiency and quality standards.Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged components.Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and other team members to optimize machining processes and improve productivity.Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in machining or related field is preferred.Proven experience as a Machinist, preferably in a CNC machining environment.Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) symbols.Strong knowledge of CNC machine operation, including setup, programming, and tooling selection.Familiarity with CAM software such as Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or similar programs is desirable.Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of precision and accuracy.Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machining issues independently.Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing production demands.Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
