Description

This position as a Survey Technician II is one of full-time employment. Employee will participate field activities. Employee will also contribute to field work operations occasionally (15% of the time, or less).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • Three or more years of survey technician experience required.
  • One or more years of ACAD experience preferred.
  • Technical or vocational degree or certificate in related discipline a plus.
  • Hypack experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
ATTRIBUTES:
  • Reliable - Able to accept and complete duties according to necessary specifications; accepts responsibility.
  • Willingness to Learn - Desire for continuous learning and self-improvement.
  • Communicator - Able to succinctly convey information. Comfortable with communicating everything from organizational goals to specific tasks to all levels easily. Proficient listener.
  • Numerically Inclined - Able to read, understand, and process numerical data; able to solve moderate to complex equations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Survey data importing and processing.
  • CAD drafting (figures, surfaces, alignments, plan sheet production, etc.).
  • Proposal research and preparation.
  • Client communications including promptly addressing and responding to client inquiries and requests via various communication platforms.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Ability to travel semi-occasionally.
  • Ability to walk long distances.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain, sometimes for extended periods of time.
