Hire Up is a paid work experience opportunity. • 6 months, with paid job readiness training • Includes supportive services and job placement assistance • Work with city agencies and nonprofit organizations We are looking for a dynamic Cashier at Fishnet to be a part of an exciting new front of the house team. This role will be instrumental in helping us build best practices for the front of the house and helping us implement great standards for customer service. This person will be asked to draw from past experiences of best practices, while also helping us execute our vision. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to move quickly, a commitment to serving and the ability to work efficiently. We are looking for someone who works smart as well as working hard. Candidates must have a passion for clear communication as well as a commitment to customer service. All candidates must have a positive mental attitude and the ability to work in a small team. Responsibilities: - Learn the cuisine and menu to be able to speak knowledgeably about the food - Ability to do side work (mop floor, take out trash, wash dishes, etc.) - Ability to run food - Restock condiments, drinks, water, dry goods, etc. - Deliver service with a smile - Collaborate with other team members - Communicate clearly with customers, team members and management - Follow current systems and procedures - Show up to every shift as scheduled and on time Requirements - Able to work 15-25 hours a week at Fishnet restaurant in Mount Vernon Marketplace - A recommendation letter or at least 1 year's work experience at a restaurant - Understanding of cash handling and basic math skills Qualities: - A passion for food - A passion for exceptional customer services - A dedicated team player - A high energy person with a positive attitude - A person who is comfortable in a face-paced, dynamic environment Our Vision: Fishnet Restaurant in Baltimore, Maryland offers guests an authentic, laid back, seafood experience.
