Job Title: Multifamily Project Superintendent

Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Multifamily Project Superintendent to oversee the construction of multifamily residential projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing multifamily construction projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion. This position requires exceptional leadership skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to effectively coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Lead all aspects of multifamily residential construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
  2. Site Supervision: Direct and coordinate on-site activities, overseeing subcontractors, vendors, and labor crews to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
  3. Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality and craftsmanship throughout the construction process, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
  4. Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
  5. Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and adjust as necessary to ensure project milestones are met and deadlines are achieved.
  6. Budget Control: Monitor project budgets and expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities and minimizing project overruns.
  7. Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
  8. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of construction professionals, including foremen, tradespeople, and support staff, to achieve project objectives and deliver exceptional results.
  9. Problem Solving: Proactively identify potential challenges or obstacles and develop effective solutions to keep projects on track and mitigate risks.
  10. Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in multifamily residential construction, with a proven track record of managing successful projects.
  3. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes relevant to multifamily projects.
  4. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  5. Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Procore or Microsoft Project.
  6. OSHA 30-Hour Certification (preferred).
  7. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  8. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
