Objective: The Logistics Coordinator acts as a liaison between Customer Service, Shipping, and Distribution to ensure product logistics meets customer demands by accurately completing domestic and international paperwork and all relevant billing functions in an exemplary manner according to the company quality policies.

Qualified candidates will possess the following Minimum Requirements:
  • Proficiency with Windows-based software, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively and professionally interact with internal and external customers
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent work record, including attendance
  • Familiarity with the automotive industry and QAD are desired.

Essential Functions:

Customers/Orders:
  • Provide printed bills of lading for parts shipped from the distribution center. Prepare any paperwork necessary to accompany the bills of lading, both domestic and international. Produce a truck list and call carriers as bills are completed.
  • Interact with Customer Service and Shipping to modify pick lists, expedite orders, and note specific information on bills of lading. Maintain records showing customer usage of skids, lids and cardboard so that customers are billed accordingly.
  • Perform advance shipping notification and confirm orders. Maintain and update a current ASN list to ensure customers are given pertinent information.
  • Ensure shipping documents are complete and accurate. This includes alerting shipping of any errors, entering missing information into QAD, and confirming orders.
  • Generate and complete all international bills of lading, specifically Mexico and Canada, and ensure all the proper NAFTA paperwork is attached.
  • Call trucking companies to obtain quotes for standard and expedited shipments, when needed.
Productions:
  • Assist pack line and shipping/receiving in decision making processes when team leaders are off grounds or on vacation.
  • Receive and send all mail, forms and paperwork between the distribution center and the main office. This includes all paperwork such as invoices, bills, quality information, overtime/vacation list slips, pick-list and subcontractors (manifest).
  • Communicate with shipping, after hours to answer questions pertaining to shipments.
  • Train all new shipping clerks on how to run and confirm ASN bills of lading, when needed.
  • Maintain production numbers for pack line and produce all necessary charts as needed. Identify trends with packer abilities or issues that may arise and communicate that information to the Team Leader. Make changes to monthly and yearly charts to represent trends.
Inventory:
  • Verify the number of totes, specifically Tenneco totes, on a daily basis to ensure we have an adequate supply of totes for packing.
  • Audit inventory to help ensure part quantities are accurate throughout the year at USDC. Make any necessary adjustments.
  • Enter all stock and maintenance orders into EAM. Orders all the necessary supplies for safety and USDC break room.
Organization/Communication/Professionalism:
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers and management personnel to enhance teamwork and communication initiatives.
  • Provide necessary, accurate, and timely feedback of all pertinent information to co-workers and management.
  • Consistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the job.
  • Organize and maintain efficiency of personal work area.
