Description

North Mississippi Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in Southaven is looking for a part-time Clinical Assisant to join our team and assist in providing excellent patient care.

This team member will follow universal precautions and all OSHA and HIPAA requirements to ensure a safe and private environment for patients and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a tray side assistant and pass correct instruments to doctor during surgery.
  • Clean instruments and sterilize instruments.
  • Set up surgery trays.
  • Clean and disinfect procedure rooms.
  • Take X-rays and 3D imaging.
  • Stock rooms and labs with supplies.
  • Assist with post operational duties - including seating and packing dry sockets, and suture removal under direction of doctor.
  • Review post op instructions with patients' families.
  • Scan documents into patient accounts.
  • Check charts that have been scanned for efficiency.
  • Seat patients for exams and do necessary paperwork.
Requirements
  • Radiology certificate.
  • BLS/CPR Certificate.
  • Knowledge of what instruments and equipment are needed for each surgery.
  • Knowledge of operating sterilization equipment.
  • Knowledge of operating equipment used during surgery.
  • Knowledge of Emergency Protocol.
  • Ability to place and remove dry socket dressings.
  • Ability to remove stitches and drains as needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
