Job Summary

Responsible for the annual budgeting process, defines and implements a robust budgeting process. Works with functional leaders and managers to develop the annual budget and financial forecasts. Develops and reports variances to budget and works with managers to determine causes and mitigating measures. Responsible for cash-flow and provides forecasts for cash-flow requirements. Works with the CFO, Controller and company leadership to provide accurate financial forecasts. Provides detailed reports and variance analysis for management and Board. Maintains, on behalf of the company, a strong relationship with investors and lenders and complies with reporting requirements. Manages various Finance functions and departments as assigned. Ensures compliance with accounting rules, associated regulations, and company policies to ensure the highest standard of ethical conduct.

Manage the annual budgeting process with the objective of preparing a meaningful plan within the framework of the company’s overall strategy

Support operational management in identifying and explaining significant variances from budget.

Daily cash-flow management to ensure ongoing liquidity and minimize interest expense

Provide accurate forecasting of cash-flow needs for a rolling 13-week period

Maintain effective relationships with lenders & outside investors and comply with their reporting requirements

Maintain good relations with vendors while at the same time achieving the company’s cash-flow objectives

Ensure compliance relating to the accounting, reporting and payment of corporate income taxes; sales & use tax; and property taxes

Ensure adequate control over the accounting and posting of customer receipts

BA degree in Finance and Accounting, Business Administration or related field. MBA and CPA desired.

Minimum of 10 years progressively responsible experience in Finance and Accounting. Private equity experience helpful.

3- 5 years experience managing team of at least 4-5 professional Finance & Accounting staff. Prefer experience managing managers.

Broad range of senior level experience required in finance & accounting that would cover financial planning, tax management, and areas of general accounting (A/R, A/P).

Ability to motivate and effectively lead a team.

Strong interpersonal, teamwork and influencing skills in order to work effectively with others in the company.

Ability to operate as a “roll up sleeves” contributor with a strong work ethic. Ability to build complex financial models, prepares detailed analysis and projections, work on ad-hoc projects and display a high degree of initiative.
