Position Title Network Engineer Location Nashville, TN Employment Type Full?Time Role Overview The Network Engineer I supports enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VOIP networks and serves as an escalation point for service desk incidents. The role involves troubleshooting network incidents, administering voice technology, maintaining inventory, documentation, on?call rotations, and participating in a 24/7 technical services team. Key Responsibilities Escalation point for tier 1 & 2 IT support specialists, providing support for local and remote office workers. Diagnose and resolve network incidents such as slow internet speeds, connection drops, and Wi?Fi issues. Administer and support 8x8 voice technology. Maintain an updated inventory of parts, cables, and other equipment. Develop documentation and procedures related to network infrastructure. Operate and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, or less frequent system operations and maintenance. Provide system support on a 7x24 basis and participate in an on?call rotation. Contribute to and maintain a knowledge?base of common procedures and problem resolutions. Apply critical thinking and sound judgment to address complex situations and follow standardized procedures. Maintain customer?service orientation and professional attitude. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of technical support experience. Knowledge of LAN/WAN administration, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, firewalls, NAT, and wireless technology. Experience with Cloud Voice Technologies such as 8x8. Strong understanding of network monitoring and remediation. Excellent customer?service skills and ability to communicate network issues to non?technical users. Proven analytical skills and attention to detail. Preferred familiarity with Palo Alto, Meraki, and Cisco certifications. Why Join Sonata Software?
