This position will contribute to the development and implementation of UTHA's overall clinical quality program that includes patient safety and infection control. Responsibilities

Clinical Quality Together with leadership will develop clinical quality activities that include measurement, data analysis, and reporting

Supports UTHA clinical quality structure, including Clinical Quality Committee and subcommittees

Identifies trends, prioritizes and recommends improvements

Implement Tracers with AMP for accreditation readiness and operational excellence

Infection Control Infection control responsibilities include regular surveillance and reporting of infection control incidents and cases of communicable disease.

Review all patient safety events, conducts follow-up and analysis as indicated, and closes out report

Communicatees with stakeholders as indicated

Implement and manage Symplr Safety

Collaboration Work collaboratively with the Policy Coordinator to identify policy gaps and manage the document management system

Work collaboratively with the Staff Development team when staff education needs are identified

Conducts root cause analysis as indicated

Participates in clinical and departmental committees and group meetings with a focus on providing input regarding improving quality

Work closely with Patient Experience Coordinator for service recovery and event mitigation

Patient Safety Review all patient safety events, conducts follow-up and analysis as indicated, and closes out report

Communicatees with stakeholders as indicated

Implement and manage Symplr Safety

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with at least five years of clinical nursing experience and at least two years of experience in healthcare quality. Working knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulation and policy, national accrediting standards, quality improvement methodologies. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with a variety of other health care professionals and leaders. Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical and critical thinking skills, with ability to synthesize information from many sources to develop recommendations. Record of leadership, project management, and collaboration. Must possess the ability to effectively facilitate and lead working groups and training sessions. CIC and CPHQ certification coursework must be started with one year of employment. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or other advanced clinical degree Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC). Salary Range

$85,000.00+ depending on qualifications Working Conditions
