First Division Consulting is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Software Developer role located in Crane, IN. We are looking to fill this role as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate shall perform the following task:

  • Research, design, develop, and test computer hardware and software programs. This includes work on computer chips, circuit boards, systems, and peripherals like keyboards, modems, and printers.
  • Design and develop software systems that control computers, using the principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Manage and report on the tasking of software developers and ensure project activities are aligned with goals.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing user needs, designing, constructing, testing, and maintaining applications software or systems. This includes developing operating systems, network distribution software, and compilers while solving technical problems that arise.
  • A strong understanding of programming is required. But, the primary focus will be on developing algorithms and analyzing and solving complex programming challenges.
Requirements
  • Secret Clearance Required.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
Preferred Degree:
  • Master's in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science.
Preferred Years of Experience:
  • 10+ years in computer design, software development, or computer networks.
Preferred Specialized Experience:
  • Senior Developer with 10+ years of experience developing software for DoD Surveillance, Command and Control, or Weapon Systems.
  • Proficiency in Agile or other software development methodologies.
  • Experience developing software for Linux OS, including C, C++, and Java.
  • Strong mentoring and team management experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting may be required.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
