Position at PetCure Oncology at Arizona Veterinary Oncology

PetCure Oncology in Phoenix is looking for a veterinarian to provide coverage 4 days per week from the beginning of July through the end of September.

PetCure Oncology works within Arizona Veterinary Oncology, one of the largest providers of animal cancer care in Arizona. AVO is the only provider in the greater Phoenix area that offers comprehensive oncology services including diagnostics, chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

The primary job responsibilities of this position are:

to assist our on-site Radiation Oncologist by performing physical exams on new and existing patients and coordinating with the Radiation Oncologist to oversee patient care. This position is perfect for a General Practice Veterinarian, Urgent Care Veterinarian, or Emergency Veterinarian who is interested in training and support while working with a Boarded Radiation Oncologist to provide their patients with the highest standard of care. No on-call or weekends, and an opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals in the Oncology field. As this position relies on the Radiation Oncologist to make determinations regarding oncology care, no oncology experience or expertise is needed, though an interest in oncology is preferred. Ability to perform a comprehensive physical exam on canine and feline patients is required.

Hospital Hours:
Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 5:30 pm.

Work Experience & Education:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
Licensed in the state of Arizona
Prior working experience in GP, UC, ER
