Communications and Grants Associate . The

Communications and Grants Associate , reporting directly to the Director of Development and Communications, will oversee all aspects of grant writing and communications within the Child & Family Guidance Center. They will ensure alignment with organizational guidelines, policies, procedures, and mission. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following

Essential Functions : Grants Management: Write high-quality grant proposal narratives, applications, and supporting documents In collaboration with Director of Development, Senior Leadership, staff and community stakeholders, responsible for researching, collecting data, and writing of each grant Work with department managers to compile financials and data Manage the proposal submission process to ensure timely submission of all required materials Develops and maintains a proposal calendar Coordinate and communicate progress of submitted proposals Works with the Director of Development to create an annual grants strategy that is a key area

within the overall development strategy and organizational plan Conduct prospect research to identify, cultivate and solicit new grants Perform other duties as assigned. Communications: Coordinate and create regular, topical, and timely content to update CFGC leaders, members, and donors on activities. Manage social media posts, emails, press releases, etc., to effectively communicate with stakeholders. Monitor and post on the CFGC website, ensuring content is fresh, timely, accurate, and engaging to various audiences. Produce timely acknowledgement letters, recognition, and direct appreciation mailings for donors and sponsors. Oversee preparation and production of all promotional mailings, printed pieces, and web communications related to fundraising, including the annual direct mail program. Coordinate elements of mailings and e-solicitations Assist with event planning and event management. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in research, managing and writing grant proposals and

reports. Experience with both government RFP and foundations preferred. Demonstrated ability to write successful grant proposals Knowledge of child development, child psychology and family systems services preferred Detail-oriented, organized, deadline-driven Clear, precise and compelling writing skills Effective team player and with project management experience Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with purpose and accuracy High proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and website management and donor databases.
